Joy

Money can make us happy. Vacations can make us happy. Family and friends can make us happy. Even church can make us happy. However, happiness is fleeting and definitely dependent on the moment.
God offers us joy! Joy is a gift from God that lives deep in our souls and cannot be shaken by circumstances. Someone can make us unhappy, but no one can rob us of the joy God gives us.
As you plow through this week, I invite you to focus on joy. Be thankful for all the happy moments but count on the joy that comes from the Lord. It most certainly takes the sting out of the unhappy moments and allows us to rise above them.
