Summer is here and we are looking forward to a great deal happening this year.  I am so thrilled to be part of a church that does all that it can to take care of its community.  This summer we will once again be passing out summer lunches to kids and families that are underserved in our area.  We want to make sure that the kids who usually count on lunch at their school, get to keep that assurance throughout the summer break.  We will also be watching our Manna Garden flourish and make sure that we are getting fresh produce to our neighbors and friends who can benefit from this amazing ministry.

As I have said so often, what an amazing and generous church we have.  I do want to also encourage that generous spirit when it comes to supporting Faith Church financially.  To be completely transparent, our giving has been down a bit lately.  With summer vacations and travel upon us, please keep the church in mind and let’s not suffer that summer dip that so many churches face.  We strive to do ministry that makes a difference in the lives of all our people, but we need your continued support to make that happen.

Our kids, youth and young adults all have fun and faith filled events happening this summer.  While we are breaking from the routines of Spring and Fall, we will nonetheless see amazing things this summer that lead to the further spiritual growth and community building that we are accustomed to here at Faith.  

I hope and pray that this summer will be one of growth and joy for all of us.  As we step into the heat and humidity of summer in Georgia, lets always remember to step also into the presence of God on a regular basis.  As we pray for God to move in the future of Faith Methodist, lets also be ready to move as He leads.  I hope and pray that we have a memorable and productive summer together.

Faith Methodist is happy to welcome Libby Sloan as our new Communications Director.  Libby comes to us from the corporate world and is excited about helping Faith reach our community.  Libby is married to Jordan and they have one daughter, Eden.
