The Holy Spirit: A Non-Negotiable Gift

The Holy Spirit is not a trailer that we hitch onto our spiritual life when we think we need it. You cannot just park it for a season. The gift of the Holy Spirit was every bit a part of God’s plan for us as our salvation. It was one plan: set us free by the cross, overcome death in the resurrection, and fill us with His presence by giving us the Holy Spirit. Anything short of this is underselling what God has done.
