No one likes to wait. Patience may be a virtue, but it is not an easy one to acquire. However, no matter what we do, we find that we are often in need of patience. Our goal as Christians is to wait well. When we don’t get what we want or need in a timely fashion, we must continue to trust in God.
Our temptation is to jump and run and let inferior things fill the void. In allowing this to happen, we end up chasing other gods that have no real power. Gods of entertainment, food, sex, achievement, and self just to name a few.
Trust the one true God in your times of waiting and let Him be your complete fulfillment. Ironically, you will get to the peace and joy you are looking for much faster by waiting on Him.
