Celebration Sunday is Upon Us
Celebration Sunday is upon us. I love that we do this once a year because I believe it is right and good to give thanks to God for all He has done and is doing. In reality, the entire month of May is going to be a celebration as we recognize baptisms, graduations, Mother’s Day, and the end of a very good season in the life of our Church. Please make every effort to come out on May 4th and bring a covered dish if you can (Don’t worry about it if you can’t) and let’s rejoice in all that God is doing. I cannot wait to pray together, sing together, fellowship together, and to worship together. What a great day we have ahead of us. Also, be ready to step up and step into the many summer opportunities we will be rolling out over the next few weeks. We will have the opportunity to serve our community in a variety of ways. One of those ways will be our summer lunch program. We need servers to come on weekdays and help to pass out lunches to those in our community that need them. Look for sign up opportunities throughout the next few weeks. I am so excited about all that God is doing at Faith. I hope you will pray in expectation with me for God to keep doing more. The Kingdom of God is among us! In Him, Pastor Scott |

Peyton Miller, Student Minister
We want to extend a heart felt thank you to Collin and Christy Dunn for many years of service to Faith Methodist Church. Christy has served as our Children’s Minister for over 14 years and Collin has been an anchor in our sound booth for many of those years. The Dunn’s will be missed but certainly not forgotten as we build on the foundation of ministry and hard work that they have laid. While we say goodbye to the Dunns, we want to celebrate Peyton Miller. After experiencing God’s call last year, Peyton has been serving as our Youth Minister for several months. She has done an amazing job leading these young people deeper into the Word of God and in living life as disciples of Christ. She has also worked toward the formation of a regional ministry called Common Ground that serves many youth groups in our area and seeks to bring churches together to minister to our community. As of May 1st, Peyton’s role will expand. Her new title will be Student Minister and she will oversee both Youth and Children’s ministries. She will be leading interns and volunteers in the creation of transformational disciple making ministry. Peyton is excited and prayerful and we cannot wait to see how much God is going to do through her. |
