Happy November, Church!

Faith Methodist Church
Faith Newsletter November 2025
Happy November, Church!

Happy November, Church!

As I sit to write this note there are many things on my mind. The Government is still shut down at this time, many in our community are struggling with insecurities, a lot of churches are scratching to keep going and not shut down, and prices are still up on most things that affect our lives.
Now, am I trying to bring us all down in the dumps? Not at all. In reality, it is in the tough times that we see God the most clearly. It is healing for me to face the fact that I cannot solve any of the problems above, but I do know one who can. God’s plan is to work through His Church and allow His Spirit to move in power and love to break down these barriers for our community.
All that we are called to do is to respond to the Spirit when He speaks. Last week He called us to collect food, and we began that process. In a couple of weeks, we will gather for Charge Conference with other churches, and we will answer God’s call to pray together. It is almost like a football game. If everyone plays their position well and obeys the coach, the team has a great chance of winning. All we have to do is obey our God when He instructs and leads us.
As we move toward Thanksgiving and Christmas, let’s all lean in and listen to the best of our abilities. After we listen, let’s simply do what we are called to do.

In Him,

Pastor Scott
