Happy New Year, Church Family!

Faith Methodist Church
Faith Methodist Newsletter: January 2026
Happy New Year, Church Family!

Happy New Year, Church Family!

Here we are with many renewed commitments and a fresh hope that this new year will bring many joys and celebrations. We continue to navigate by the leading of God’s Holy Spirit to make sure that we are moving in a direction that brings many to know the love of Jesus Christ.
Imagine if each of us could win one soul and make one disciple in this New Year! What a goal to set for a year, but I hope that each of you will join me in praying for this reality. Our ultimate goal continues to be to transform our community. Little by little we are seeing much success in that area, and I look forward to much more in 2026!
I am thankful for leaders, staff, and laity who are committed to the vision God has laid out for us. I am looking forward to working together to find new and creative ways to be faithful to what He has called us to do in this New Year.
Please start this year with prayer. Prayer in general is always a good plan, but specifically for us as a church to be effective in all that we seek to do. Pray for your Pastor, leaders, staff and community.
Let’s make 2026 a defining moment in the story of Faith Methodist!

Some Important Announcements

Special Meeting
On January 25th, we will have a special information meeting following the Sunday Service. We will be presenting the next step in reaching our community and we want all of you to be aware so that you can pray and celebrate what God is doing. Our hope is that, if at all possible, each of you will be able to attend.

Fasting Invitation
Each year I, Pastor Scott, fast for 21 days from January 9th through January 30th . This is a personal time of seeking God in each new year. I would like to invite anyone who would like to join me during this time of fasting. I will be giving more details as those days draw closer. Remember, fasting does not have to be just food.

New Sermon Series
Beginning January 11th , we will begin teaching on what and how God wants us to order our thinking. We will look at breaking unhealthy mental patterns, redeeming our imaginations, and overall learning about renewing our minds. Don’t miss this teaching as we seek to begin the year in our best position possible.

Secret Sisters
Looking for a meaningful way to encourage another sister in Christ? Join Secret Sister—a season of prayer, encouragement, and connection. Sign-ups begin January 4 in the back of the Sanctuary! For any questions, please feel free to contact Amber Paul (mousebug7@gmail.com) or Peyton Weimann (youth@faithmethodistchurch.com)

Depression Support Group

Every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 PM

This support group is guest and drop-in friendly. There is no cost, and is open to the public! While the Depression Support Group is being held at our church, it is somewhat secular in nature. This doesn't mean faith issues won't be discussed. It is not to be confused with group therapy, but is a mutual support group.
