February 2026 Newsletter: Faith Methodist Church
Happy February!

Happy February!

Hello Church Family,
February is upon us and I am hoping for some good news. I am hopeful that threatening weather is behind us and I am most hopeful that our water problem is behind us. As of this writing, it is not. Having said that I am very thankful for staff and leaders who have done an excellent job working through the incredible inconvenience.
Enough sad news, let’s look at what God is doing. We continue to see people growing in discipleship. We continue to see new faces on a regular basis. We are still on track to see some incredible movement to bless our community. I get steady feedback from people who are blessed by what we do at Faith through our many ministries. I know it is not always easy to see when you are in the midst of ministry but trust me when I say that you all are making a huge impact on the lives of people all around you.
It feels like we just wrapped up Christmas, and now we are just several days from the beginning of Lent. That’s right, February 18th is Ash Wednesday! I look forward to moving through Lent this year in a meaningful way with all of you.
One last thing, I have gotten a great deal of feedback on the current sermon series on renewing our thinking. It seems to be striking some much-needed chords. I want to make sure you know that I am always available to talk, pray, listen or counsel at any time. If God is stirring something in you, let's talk about it. God bless us all as we move forward seeking to be what He calls us to be.
In Him,
Pastor Scott

Faith Financial Picture for 2026

One of our highest values at Faith is to be truly authentic in all that we do. Part of being authentic is being transparent in all matters. With that in mind, we want to share with you our financial picture for 2026. This picture will include a budget overview, and what we have on hand and what it is designated to do.
As for our Budget, we are keeping the same Budget as we had in 2025. The Budget is set for $400,000. That includes salaries, insurance, ministry monies, office supplies, general maintenance and utilities, and missions. No raises were given in the new year, and we are striving to keep expenses at a workable level.
(Note: The Leadership Board has permission to change the budget to provide for new ministries and offer salary increases throughout the year if they feel that overall giving supports such action. If that change included Pastoral increase, then a Charge Conference vote would be required. In all other matters, the Board works at the discretion given to them by their election to the Board.)

As of January 2026:
Cash on Hand: $19,168
Manna Pantry: $2,701
Depreciation Fund:
$20,500- Parking Lot Fund
$28,955- Emergency/repair funds

At this point, all income is through Tithes and Offerings. There is not secondary source of income.
As you can see we work with a very thin margin, but God has been very faithful to us through your generosity. Please continue your faithful and prayerful giving in this new year as we seek to carry out the mission that God has laid out for us.
